Prices here are national averages, not quotes
Every price on MenuQuill is a researched estimate of what a typical US location charges. Each one is gathered across several restaurants in different states and checked on the date shown at the top of the menu page it appears on. It is not a quote, and no restaurant has agreed to honor it.
Use MenuQuill to plan, and the restaurant to pay. The figures here are good enough to tell a twelve-dollar lunch from a thirty-dollar one. Confirm the exact price with the restaurant before you order.
What moves a price
A figure can be perfectly accurate on this page and still differ from the board in front of you. The usual reasons:
- Franchising. Most of these brands are franchised, and franchisees set their own prices. Two restaurants with the same sign can charge different amounts on the same day.
- Location type. Airports, stadiums, theme parks, turnpike plazas, casinos, hospitals and university campuses price well above a suburban drive-thru.
- Delivery apps. Menu prices inside a third-party delivery app are frequently marked up above the in-store price, before any delivery fee, service fee or tip is added.
- Timing. Chains reprice through the year, run limited-time offers, and move items on and off the value menu.
- Region. Regional pricing tiers, local wage rules and city-level surcharges all move the number.
- Tax. Prices here are pre-tax, the way menus print them. What you hand over at the counter includes sales tax and any local fees.
Calories are the chain’s published figures
Calorie counts come from each restaurant’s own published nutrition information, for the standard build of an item as the chain describes it. Change the size, swap the bread, add cheese, pick a different sauce or a different drink, and the number changes with it.
Chains update their nutrition data on their own schedule, and preparation varies between kitchens. A published figure is the chain’s best estimate for a standard item, not a measurement of the plate in front of you.
Not medical, dietary or allergen advice
MenuQuill is a reference publication, not a health service. Nothing here is medical or dietary advice, and nothing here should be used to manage a condition, a treatment plan or a weight-management program without talking to a qualified professional.
This matters most with allergens. I do not publish allergen or ingredient guidance, and a calorie count says nothing about cross-contact in a kitchen. If you have a food allergy, an intolerance or celiac disease, ask the restaurant directly and rely on its own allergen information, every time.
Independent and unaffiliated
MenuQuill is an independent publication written by Sophia W. Steadham. It is not affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by or sponsored by any restaurant, chain or franchisor mentioned on the site. No restaurant pays for coverage, sees a page before publication, or has any say in what it says.
Trademarks
Restaurant names, logos and menu-item names are the trademarks of their respective owners. They appear on MenuQuill for identification and editorial commentary only — to tell you whose menu you are reading — and their use here does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.
Errors, and how to fix them
I check the figures and I still get things wrong; menus change faster than one person can watch them. MenuQuill is provided as it is, without warranty of accuracy or completeness, and I cannot accept liability for a decision made on a figure that has since moved. If you find a mistake, tell me — chain, item, the price you saw, roughly where — at asksophiateam@gmail.com and I will re-check the page.
