A softer mark sits beside the hard ones, and a may-contain means shared handling reached the item rather than the recipe. The All-American Dog names soy and wheat outright, then adds may-contain marks on egg, milk and sesame from the bun it sits in.

Sonic Breakfast Allergens

Breakfast opens the Sonic allergen menu with Egg, Milk, Soy and Wheat on every burrito and CroisSONIC. Griddled egg, a flour tortilla and melted cheese put them there, and French Toast Sticks drop the egg while keeping the other three. Both BREAKFAST TOASTERs add a may-contain on sesame from the Texas toast.

Sonic Burger and Smasher Allergens

A sesame-seeded bakery bun sets the shape of the whole burger board, so Egg, Milk, Sesame, Soy and Wheat read identically across all five builds. Mayo brings the egg and the American cheese slice brings the milk. The bun accounts for the sesame, the soy and the wheat between them.

Sonic Hot Dog and Coney Allergens

The Sonic allergen menu puts soy and wheat in the bun under every hot dog. Chili and shredded cheddar push milk onto the Chili Cheese Coney and the Footlong Quarter Pound Coney. Served plain, the All-American Dog holds to soy and wheat alone, though its bun still adds may-contain marks on egg, milk and sesame.

Sonic Chicken Tender and Sandwich Allergens

Sonic hand-breads both items and drops them straight into the fryer. Crispy Tenders name Egg, Soy and Wheat from the batter and nothing beyond it, and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich adds milk. That milk arrives with the breaded chicken breast rather than with anything spread on the bun.

Sonic Tots, Fries and Snack Allergens

Sonic Tots carry none of the ten declared allergens. Groovy Fries break that pattern, declaring wheat and gluten from their coating, while cheese sauce puts milk and soy on Cheese Tots. Sonic Slush, Limeade and Lemonade Allergens

Real lemon, real lime, cane sugar and the plain slush base build the entire limeade and slush line. Not one of the ten tracked names lands on any of it. Cherry Limeade, Strawberry Limeade, Diet Limeade and the Rainbow Slush all read clear, as does either half-tea, half-lemonade split. Sonic squeezes the lime and lemon into every cup itself.

Sonic Soft Drink, Tea and Coffee Allergens

Sonic leaves fountain drinks, brewed tea and hot coffee clear from Coca-Cola through Ocean Water to Unsweet Iced Tea. Sonic pours flavour syrups into any of them, including the builds regulars name themselves. Milk enters only where it is poured in, on the two Cold Brew Iced Coffees and the Milk Jug. The three Rechargers with Red Bull carry may-contain marks on milk, soy and wheat.

Dairy-Free Options at Sonic

Sonic allergen menu entries clear milk from thirty-three items, most of them drinks. Sonic’s dairy-free list leans heavily on the drink board. Nineteen soft drinks, teas and coffees skip milk entirely.

Ten slushes, limeades and lemonades join them, including Rainbow Slush, Sonic Limeade and Strawberry Limeade. Three snacks also stay dairy-free: Tots, Groovy Fries and Soft Pretzel Twist. Crispy Tenders 3 Piece rounds out the dairy-free snacks.

Ordering Gluten-Free at Sonic

Sonic’s gluten-free list is built almost entirely from the drink menu. Twenty-two soft drinks, teas and coffees avoid wheat, and ten slushes and limeades join them. Six shakes stay wheat-free too, among them Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate, Banana and Caramel Classic.

Cross-Contact and Shared Equipment at Sonic

One fryer bank handles the tots, the tenders, the Corn Dog, the Onion Rings and the Ched ‘R’ Peppers. Sonic does not divide that oil by allergen. Soft serve, shakes and Blasts share the same spindles, cups and scoops. Nothing built to order at a drive-in is allergen-free, and no item is certified gluten-free.
