What MenuQuill is
MenuQuill is an independent reference publication about US chain-restaurant menus, written and maintained by Sophia W. Steadham. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
The site is free to read, with no account and no subscription. I may add, change or remove pages at any time, and I may stop publishing altogether.
Prices and calories are estimates
Every price here is a researched national estimate for a typical US location on the date shown on the page. It is not an offer, not a quote, and not a promise that any restaurant will charge it. Calorie figures are the chains’ own published numbers for standard builds of each item.
Check with the restaurant before you order. Prices vary by franchise owner, by location type, by delivery platform and by time of year, and they change without notice.
The disclaimer sets out in full what moves a price and what the calorie figures do and do not cover.
What you may do with the content
- Read, print and save pages for your own use.
- Share a link to any page, anywhere, without asking.
- Quote a reasonable extract — a few figures, a sentence or two — in an article, a video or a post, with credit to MenuQuill and a link to the page you took it from.
- Cite MenuQuill as a source in research, journalism or classwork.
Facts aren’t owned by anybody. A price is a price and a calorie count is a calorie count, and you don’t need my permission to state one.
What you may not do
What takes the work is the writing, the layout and the compiled dataset — the selection, ordering, checking and presentation of thousands of figures. Those are mine, and the following are not permitted:
- Copying a page’s text, tables or structure wholesale, or republishing a menu page in substantially its current form on another site or in an app.
- Scraping the site in bulk, by crawler, script or automated extraction, including for the training or resale of a dataset.
- Reproducing the compiled dataset — a chain’s full menu as assembled here — as your own data product.
- Presenting MenuQuill’s material as your own work, or stripping attribution from material you were free to quote.
- Using the MenuQuill name or content in a way that suggests I endorse you, your site or your product.
If you want to do something that’s on neither list, ask. The answer is often yes.
Using the site responsibly
Please do not attempt to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorized access to this site or the server it runs on, and do not use the contact form to send spam, malware or abuse. I may block access that does any of those things.
No warranty
MenuQuill is provided as it is and as it is available. I work hard on accuracy, and I make no warranty that the site is error-free, complete, current or uninterrupted. Menus change constantly, and a figure that was right when it was checked can be wrong by the time you read it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of MenuQuill or from reliance on any figure published here. That includes a price that differs from what you were charged, a calorie figure that does not match a chain’s current data, and a meal that was not what you expected.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Links to other sites
Pages here link to restaurants’ own websites and nutrition documents so you can verify a figure at the source. I don’t control those sites and I’m not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their privacy practices.
Trademarks
Restaurant names, logos and menu-item names belong to their owners and are used here for identification and editorial commentary only. MenuQuill is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any restaurant or chain it writes about.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms as the site grows. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised version.
