Denny’s allergen menu tracks 149 ingredients and components across fourteen groups, pulled from the chain’s own Core Allergen Guide dated October 2025. Reading the item-by-item tables below is the fastest way to check what one specific ingredient declares.

Every row on the Denny’s allergen menu states only what the guide declares for that ingredient, nothing inferred from a name or a recipe. A dish like the Grand Slam does not get its own row here, since the guide tracks components, not finished plates. Checking every part of an order is the only way to use this guide accurately.

A plain mark means an ingredient contains that allergen outright. A diamond mark in the source guide means it may contain the allergen instead, or shares equipment with one that does. Both marks carry through exactly as Denny’s states them, with a may-contain note spelled out every time rather than folded into a plain declaration.

Meats, Sauces & Eggs at Denny’s

Soybeans mark seventeen of the twenty-six items in this group, the most of any allergen here on the Denny’s allergen menu. Sausage Patty, Bacon Strips and Beef Patty all carry a may-contain sesame mark rather than a plain one. Four sauces declare nothing at all. Salsa and both hot pepper sauces are three of them.

Seasonings at Denny’s

Soybeans and milk lead this Seasonings group, marking six and five items out of ten. Chicken Noodle Soup carries wheat and gluten alongside egg and soy. Sirloin and T-Bone steaks both carry a may-contain sesame mark instead of a plain one.

Sugar Substitutes at Denny’s

Equal, Splenda and Sweet & Low share the only entry in this small group. It declares no allergen at all.

Syrup at Denny’s

Soybeans mark fourteen of the twenty-four toppings and mix-ins here, the largest share in the group. Fire-Roasted Bell Peppers, grilled jalapenos and caramelized onions all carry a may-contain sesame mark. Waffles alone carries six different allergens at once, egg, milk, soy, tree nuts, wheat and gluten. Six toppings declare nothing at all. Sliced pickles and broccoli are two of them.

Beverages at Denny’s

Milk marks only three drinks in this group, both cold brews and the hot chocolate. Coffee, tea, juice and soft drinks make up the other seven, and none of them declares any allergen.

Breads at Denny’s

Soybeans, wheat and gluten mark all fifteen breads on the Denny’s allergen menu without exception. Sesame carries a may-contain mark on thirteen of them, missing only the corn tortilla chips. White Bread and Garlic Toast are the two breads that also carry milk.

Cheese at Denny’s

Milk marks thirteen of the twenty-one items grouped here, the most of any allergen in this section. Aged White Cheddar declares milk only, the simplest entry in the group. The Cheese group also covers condiments, breaded chicken and crackers rather than cheese alone.

Soybeans follow on nine items, and wheat and gluten each mark five, mostly the chicken and the saltine crackers. Four items declare nothing at all. Ketchup, mustard and honey are three of them.

Desserts at Denny’s

Ice Cream at Denny’s

Milk marks thirteen of the fifteen items grouped here on the Denny’s allergen menu. The group ranges from ice cream flavors to onion rings and pot roast. Mozzarella Cheese Sticks carries five allergens total, the most of any single item here.

Potatoes at Denny’s

Soybeans mark all six potato items in this group without exception. Wheat and gluten each mark three of them. Both fry styles carry the mark. Hash Browns carries only soybeans and a may-contain sesame mark, the lightest declaration here.

Sauces & Spreads at Denny’s

Soybeans mark all three sauces in this final group. Bourbon Sauce adds wheat and gluten on top of that. Buffalo Sauce is the only one of the three that also lists milk.

Dairy-Free Options at Denny’s

Milk does not appear in the declared list for 81 of the 149 ingredients on the Denny’s allergen menu, more than half the guide. Meats, Sauces & Eggs leads with 19 of its 26 entries, from the sausage and bacon to most of the standalone sauces. Toppings & Mix-Ins follows with 17 of 24, including the caramelized onions, grilled peppers and roasted turkey breast. The Cheese group adds 8 of 21, mostly the condiments and crackers grouped inside it. Beverages clears 7 of 10 on its own, led by black coffee, tea, juice and soft drinks. Seasonings, Syrup, Gravies and the remaining groups each add a handful more. Shared fryer oil and shared grill space still touch some of these ingredients elsewhere on the line.

Ordering Gluten-Free at Denny’s

Wheat and gluten do not appear together in the declared list for 96 of the 149 ingredients on the Denny’s allergen menu. That is the largest clear group tracked here. Meats, Sauces & Eggs leads with 22 of its 26 entries.

Toppings & Mix-Ins follows with 18 of 24. The Cheese group adds 16 of 21, again mostly the condiments and crackers grouped inside it. Beverages and Dressings clear every item in their groups, 10 of 10 and 4 of 4.

Syrup does the same across all four of its own entries. Ice Cream and Seasonings each add 7 more entries to that total, and Potatoes, Gravies and Sauces & Spreads contribute a handful further still. Breads and Desserts are the two groups where nothing clears at all, since every bread and every dessert here carries both wheat and gluten.

Cross-Contact and Shared Equipment at Denny’s

Denny’s seasons its grills with vegetable oil that also fries other items. That oil draws from soybean, canola or cottonseed sources depending on what a kitchen has on hand.
